About Dr. Steve Tutty

Dr. Steve Tutty is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in child, forensic and neuropsychology, with more than 30 years of direct clinical and forensic practice.

Why Autism Evaluations

Before establishing his evaluation practice, Dr. Tutty spent a decade counseling children, mostly with autism and ADHD. Seeing children week after week, in their good stretches and hard ones, gave him a feel for how differently autism can present, and for which recommendations actually get used at home and in class.

Since then he has evaluated or treated more than 2,300 children and adolescents with complex neurodevelopmental profiles, including autism, ADHD and twice-exceptional (2E) presentations. His approach starts with a child's developmental history and ends with a plan that addresses strengths as well as challenges.

Dr. Tutty has long roots on the East Coast. His adult children came to New York for college, and visiting them over the years made the city start to feel like home. He spends free time hiking the Hudson Valley and the Catskills.

She is LGBTQIA+-friendly and committed to affirming, culturally responsive care.
